ADVENTURES IN CREATIVITY

ArtsNow Foundational Training for School TEAMS is where it all begins. Teams consisting of an arts specialist, a classroom teacher, and an administrator attend 2½ days of training and return to their schools as change agents. A necessary set of strategies (components of the original “ArtsNow Model” created in Chicago) are offered for immediate implementation, and on-going support is provided via additional training, website information, resources, newsletters, community receptions and phone/email consultation.

CONTINUING THE JOURNEY: FOLLOW-UP TRAINING

ArtsNow is committed to serving the professional development needs of educators as comprehensively as possible. We believe that the best training builds from a common base of knowledge and continues to offer teaching and leadership strategies that follow those educators into their life/work situations. Once a base of knowledge is formed, we then want to expand the understanding of how to bring creativity and the arts into the classroom more regularly to teach the Georgia Performance Standards best.

Building on the Foundational Training, follow-up professional development opportunities are provided to take schools, clusters of schools, and/or school systems deeper. We offer workshops that provide further understandings of authentic arts integration across all subject areas. Most of this work is developed with leaders from schools or school systems to tailor these professional development opportunities to best meet desired needs and goals.
