Welcome to Creating Pride, a non-profit organization with a mission to ignite creativity in others through artmaking. If you’re here, you probably share our belief in the arts as an essential part of a child’s development and our commitment to bring the arts back into the classroom as a regular way of teaching.

We focus our efforts primarily in school communities, inspiring teachers to create engaging work for students so our children succeed socially and academically. We also offer corporate executives the opportunity to positively impact school communities and children’s lives through our Patchwork Painting process.

Our Model: ArtNow

Four steps to help teachers create engaging work for students within a given school’s
reform initiatives and school improvement plan:

Simultaneous, school-wide, weekly workshops for classroom teachers to teach more creatively, more authentically, no matter what the curriculum focus.

School community volunteers trained to support the principal and teachers with grace, enthusiasm and spirit during Art Hour and beyond.

Full-faculty activities focused on new learning and inspiration for teachers to integrate the arts into their curriculum.

Provided to teachers either by Creating Pride (via Student Patchwork Painting projects) or local school community initiatves.
