John Latham, Partner at Alston & Bird commissioned nine students from Carter G. Woodson Elementary School to create an artwork to the theme of “How We Are All Connected,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students delivered their artwork on May 17, 2005 to the executives of Alston & Bird. Each student made a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students returned $250 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at Carter G. Woodson Elementary School.

Robert Goddard, President of the Goddard Foundation commissioned 20 students from Carter G. Woodson Elementary to create an artwork to the theme of "What I Would Do To Build A Stronger Atlanta Community,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students delivered their artwork on December 19, 2005 to the management team of Post Properties. Each student made a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students returned $500 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at Carter G. Woodson Elementary School.

Woodson Elementary School to create an artwork to the theme of “My Destination: Where Can I Go On MARTA,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students delivered their artwork on May 12, 2008 to the executives of MARTA. Each student made a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students returned $250 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at Carter G. Woodson Elementary School.
