"What I Love About The South"

Tom Karsch, Executive Vice President and General Manger of Turner South commissioned twenty students from Deerwood Academy Elementary School to create an artwork to the theme of “What I Love About The South,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students delivered their artwork on November 9, 2005 to the executives of Turner South. Each student made a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students returned $500 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at Deerwood Academy Elementary School.

"Who I Am"

Mr. And Mrs Cohen of Post Properties commissioned four students from Deerwood Academy Elementary School to create an artwork to the theme of “Who I Am,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students delivered their artwork on March 26, 2007 to the executives of Post Properties. Each student made a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students returned $150 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at Deerwood Academy Elementary School.

Finally, the students delivered their artwork on May 22, 2008 to the executives of eVestment Alliance. Each student made a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students returned $250 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at Deerwood Academy Elementary School.
