John Latham, Partner at Alston & Bird commissioned nine students from L. O. Kimberly Elementary School to create an artwork to the theme of “What Freedom Means To Me,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students delivered their artwork on April 27, 2006 to the executives of Alston & Bird. Each student made a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students returned $250 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at L.O. Kimberly Elementary School.

"Get Animated! Kids In Action"

Tom Alexander, Vice President of Trade Marketing of Cartoon Network commissioned twenty students from L. O. Kimberly Elementary School to create an artwork to the theme of “Get Animated! Kids In Action,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students delivered their artwork on May 17, 2007 to the executives of Turner Cartoon Network. Each student made a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students returned $500 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at L.O. Kimberly Elementary School.
