Myrna Moore, Community Affairs Director and Host of TBS STORYline commissioned nine students from L.P. Miles Elementary School to create an artwork to the theme of “What Keeps My Neighborhood Clean,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students delivered their artwork on April 27, 2005 to a recipient of the Turner Pathfinder award. Each student made a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.
Through this project the students returned $250 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at L. P. Miles Elementary School.

Miles Elementary School to create an artwork to the theme of “How I Will Communicate With others In The Future,” as part of Creating Pride’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students delivered their artwork on January 26, 2006 to the executives of Comcast Cable. Each student made a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.
Through this project the students returned $250 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at L.P. Miles Elementary School.

Mark Hennessy, President of Hennessy Land Rover Buckhead commissioned twenty students from L.P. Miles Elementary School to create an artwork to the theme of “Driven For Success,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students delivered their artwork on February 9, 2007 to the Hennessy Buckhead team. Each student made a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.
Through this project the students returned $500 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at L.P. Miles Elementary School. An additional $500 was gifted to the students from Mark Hennessy for their exceptional work!!
