"Reading Ignites My Imagination"

John Rice commissioned twenty students from Mary Lin Elementary School to create an artwork to the theme of “Reading Ignites My Imagination,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students delivered their artwork on Novenber 10, 2004 to the executives of GE Energy. Each student made a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students returned $500 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at Mary Lin Elementary School.

"Conserving Today For The Future"

Bobbo Jetmundsen commissioned students from Mary Lin Elementary School to create an original musical score to the theme of “Conserving Today For The Future,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students performed their original song, "Nature's Dream" on March 18, 2008 to Bobbo Jetmundsen, community leaders and family. Each student received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in the arts.

Through this project the students returned $500 to support the arts at Mary Lin Elementary School.
