Dr. Beverly Scott, CEO and General Manager of MARTA commissioned twenty students from Morningside Elementary School to create an artwork to the theme of “My Destination: Where Can I Go On MARTA,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students delivered their artwork on May 12, 2008 to the executives of MARTA. Each student made a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students returned $250 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at Morningside Elementary School.
