"My Destination: Where Can I Go On MARTA"

Dr. Beverly Scott, CEO and General Manager of MARTA commissioned twenty students from North Spring High School to create an artwork to the theme of “My Destination: Where Can I Go On MARTA,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students delivered their artwork on April 24, 2008 to the executives of MARTA. Each student made a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students returned $250 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at North Springs High School.

Laurie Swift, Director of Procurement and Corporate Services at Mirant Corporation commissioned ntwenty eight students from North Springs High School to create an artwork to the themes of “The Power of Creative Energy”, "Generating Pride - The People and Parts of My Life That Makes Me Proud" and "My Glimpse of Nature" as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students delivered their artwork on November 13, 2008 to the executives of Mirant Corporation. Each student made a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students returned $750 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at North Spring High School.
