"My Favorite Cartoon On The Cartoon Network!"

February 13, 2002

Jim Samples, Executive Vice President & General Manager  of Cartoon Network commissioned twelve students from Toney Elementary School to create an artwork to the theme of “My Favorite Cartoon On The Cartoon Network,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students will deliver their artwork on February 13, 2002 to the executives of Cartoon Network. Each student will make a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students will return $400 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at Toney Elementary School.

"Cartoon Characters I Respect!"

Hamilton E. Holmes Elementary

January 29, 2004

Jim Samples, Executive Vice President & General Manager  of Cartoon Network commissioned twelve students from H. E. Holmes Elementary School to create an artwork to the theme of “Cartoon Characters I Respect,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students will deliver their artwork on January 29, 2004 to the executives of Cartoon Network. Each student will make a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students will return $400 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at H. E. Holmes Elementary School.

Jim Samples, Executive Vice President & General Manager  of Cartoon Network commissioned twenty students from Cleveland Avenue Elementary School to create an artwork to the theme of “My Favorite Super Hero On The Cartoon Network,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students will deliver their artwork on April 13, 2005 to the executives of Cartoon Network. Each student will make a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students will return $500 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at Cleveland Avenue Elementary School.

Kids In Action,” as part of ArtsNow’s Community in Action Initiative. Finally, the students will deliver their artwork on May 17, 2007 to the executives of Cartoon Network. Each student will make a brief presentation and received recognition for their generosity of spirit and outstanding creativity in art.

Through this project the students will return $500 to purchase art supplies for their classroom teachers at Kimberly Elementary School.
